Whether you are passing by London Victoria SW1, live in the area or just looking for a great Sunday brunch spot, you should visit Pimlico Fresh, one of the neighbourhood’s most exciting cafes.
Located on the busy Wilton Road, the two-room cafe offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks along with a versatile food menu, making brunch and lunch a fine experience.
The cafe opened in November 2009 and since then, has been a popular spot among Pimlico and Victoria residents, but also tourists flocking to London from all over the world. During the week, the cafe offers professionals working in the area a great option for breakfast, a quick coffee or lunch. Pimlico Fresh is known for its freshly-squeed, delicious juices and homemade smoothies.
The cafe gets very busy, especially on weekends. It’s a great cafe for a group of four or under, although if you’re a big group you can still enjoy a hot latte or their legendary French Toast, sitting on the laidback wooden farmhouse-style communal table. Food is also available for takeaway.
If you’re a vegan, vegetarian or meat or fish lover, you’ll find what you’re looking for at Pimlico Fresh. The healthy food offered at the cafe makes it stand out from some of the less healthy options around it so whatever you order, you’re guaranteed to feel re-charged and energised.
Pimlico Fresh is particularly popular for its brunch as the cafe offers a range of healthy food and drinks as well as coffee. If you’re paying them a visit, you should try their breakfast on toast menu such as the avocado on toast or the classical scrambled eggs with chargrilled bacon or salmon. The cafe also offers organic quiches, sausage rolls, pies & fishcake. Desserts are another special at Pimlico Fresh. You can satisfy your cravings with some French Toast and honey or maple syrup. You can always crown your toast with slices of banana on top or try one of their delicious homemade cakes or brownies.
In the summer, the cafe has a few tables outside along the pavement and spaces fill up quickly. Sitting outside is nice, specially on a hot summer day, but the cafe’s charm and atmosphere is felt when inside. The cafe has a young and trendy feel – a large blackboard indicates the daily specials and the seating arrangement – the communal table and smaller tables grouped together – encourage conversation.
The cafe is accessible, but remember, there are no public toilets on site, but there is one in nearby Sainsbury’s that customers are welcome to use.
The cafe opens every day. Mondays to Fridays from 07:30am till 6pm and on the weekend from 8.30am till 6pm. The closest tube station is Victoria, but you can also take Pimlico Station and walk up north through Pimlico’s pretty streets and white terraced houses.
